Anne and OJ

Our Time

Anne and OJ have been together for 2 years and 5 months. Anne handles their family business as contract grower of San Miguel, while OJ is an IT specialist for the US Federal Government. They got married at St. Pancratius, Paco Park, followed by a beautiful reception at Sofitel. Watch out for the scene where we were able to capture Anne’s walk to the aisle with our drone!

How was the proposal? Anne and OJ shares it in 3RD person:

OJ proposed last November 2015 at Big Bear Ski Resort in California. It was snowboarding day for them. Anne got tired, so she asked OJ if they can take a rest. They went inside the car, just the two them.

Back story: Anne has never experienced snowfall. When they were in NY, OJ told Anne a year ago that he would propose during a snow fall.

Oj asked for a sign. If it snows, he would propose.

15minutes later, still inside the car, snow began to fall, and it was stronger and stronger. It was OJ’s sign. He went out of the car, went to Anne’s side to open the door, and popped the question. Of course, tears were all over the place and the rest is history.

Dior and Rey

Cannot Wait

Dior and Rey have been crazy for each other for 8 years! Written in their Philippine Star newspaper article: “RT who proposed to Dior in a parking lot, says he had the ring two weeks before he proposed – and waiting any longer was not an option. “

They tied the knot at San Antonio de Padua followed by a beautiful intimate wedding reception at Splendido.

I asked Dior how was the wedding preps? Was it stressful? Well, she was one of a kind bride to say, “not at all. We were enjoying it every step of the way.” That’s how I wish every bride should feel while doing their wedding preps. In my experience, most brides turn into a bridezilla come wedding day. Dior on the other hand, she was definitely the bridechilla! It’s always a pleasure shooting a happy bride who just knows how to enjoy her special day.

Maika and Steven

Where We Belong

Maika and Steven have been together for 3 years. They tied the knot last Sunday at The Holy Trinity Church, followed by a beautiful wedding reception at Peninsula Manila.

Everyone couldn’t take their eyes off the bride when Maika walked down the aisle wearing a Cary Santiago gown. She looked absolutely stunning! Everything just looked perfect and magical. You can definitely see the impeccable taste of the couple. And guess what is the perfect way to end the wedding? Maika had a brilliant idea of surprising Steven with Kitchie Nadal playing on his wedding day!!! How cool is that?

Favorite moments from the wedding:

Maika shares how her dad couldn’t sleep the night before because his only child is finally getting married.

As for Steven, it was definitely watching Kitchie Nadal play on his own wedding. He didn’t want to go around and take pictures because he just wanted to watch and enjoy the moment!

Katrina and Ryan

OKCupid Story

Katrina and Ryan got married in Malate Church, followed by a reception at Sofitel.

Who says you can’t find love through online dating? My husband and I have been a living testimony of a Tinder success story, and knowing Katrina and Ryan also met on an online dating app, is something I’m excited to share! They are based in San Francisco, and have been together for a little over 2 years. A few weeks ago, they finally tied the knot!

I asked their favorite moment during the wedding:

Katrina was sharing that Ryan’s favorite moment of the wedding was when he sang “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko”. He memorized the lyrics for almost 6 months, he didn’t even understand half of the song. While Katrina’s favorite was when she walked down the aisle.

Sharlene and France

#onemoreShance

It was a beautiful morning wedding at Santuario de San Antonio, followed by a reception at Blue Leaf Pavillion.

The world is too small! I remember France shared to me during the meeting that Sharlene, the fiancé, is the sister of Angie, my batch mate in ICA. This is also the reason why there are a lot of familiar faces in this SDE. Haha!

Sharlene and France have been together for 7 years. They met in Citibank 2008, but started dating late 2009. He proposed at the rooftop of her apartment in Melbourne when he visited her last October 2015. They are now based in Melbourne.

When I asked France what he loves most about Sharlene? He says just the sweetest things about her. “She’s very patient and adventurous. We both love to travel, and try out different cuisines. But I guess the most important is, she’s probably the only one in the world who understands me and therefore puts up with me”

France is definitely lucky to have Sharlene in her life. FYAM is absolutely honored to have captured this beautiful moment in their lives.

John Michael and Marie Kris

When Love Comes

John Michael and Marie Kris got married at Santuario de San Jose, followed by an intimate reception at EDSA Shangri-la.

I was listening to the speech of Jomi’s brother. He was sharing that Jomi told them while they were at Disneyland, “may classmate ako, sobrang ganda at matalino. Balang araw liligawan ko siya.”

Last Sunday, Jomi married the girl of his dreams. It was Marie Kris he was talking about. They are both doctors who studied in UST. Jomi plans to specialize in Opthalmology while MK, in Dermatology. I knew Jomi because we shot his parents’ 25th Wedding Anniversary. That wedding was very unforgettable! It was full of love, and we really felt how Drs. Lina and Jorge were truly an inspiration for them. I remember a very wise advise of his father was, “pag ready ka na magpatalo habang buhay, ready ka na rin magpakasal” in jest.

Alex and Paco

Let's Be Boring Together

Alex and Paco tied the knot at The Holy Trinity Church, followed by a beautiful reception at Conrad Manila.

During our meeting, I didn’t recognize Alex right away. She was the one who reminded me that we used to be in the same theatre group called Artistang Artlets in UST, until she decided to move to Enderun. There, she met Paco. They were both sharing that they now manage a restaurant called Croque Cafe and Bakery in Makati. It is beautiful to see these two pursuing their dreams together.

Paco was very quiet during the meeting. But I was really surprised to hear his vows. It was really funny and genuine! I can totally see how Alex and Paco make a really good team!

Here’s an excerpt of Paco’s vows:
“How can 2 boring people enjoy each other’s company too much? We travel just to enjoy our favorite food. Travel to famous and remote places just to taste the authentic ensaymada or lechon. We enjoy eating so much, that people notice our physical transformation. So all I can say is, let’s stay boring!”

Jovie and Cara

Love Is Magic

Jovie and Cara got married a few weeks ago at Montecito Chapel, followed by a reception at Pasa Tiempo, Nuvali.

When you finally found your person, you cannot in any way, let them go. That’s what Jovie did when he met Cara. I was listening intently through the vows, and I can’t help but smile and wish everyone felt the same kind of love. A feeling of looking forward to a life with someone, is simply magic.

Here’s an excerpt of Jovie’s vows:
“Dear Cara, I’m so excited to start this journey with you. One that will never end. I look forward to being with you everyday, and then starting a family with you. You truly make me feel like I’m the luckiest man in the whole world. We made it! What a rollercoaster 6 months. I loved every minute. Now you are my wife, wow!”
