Caisa and Mayo

Love Love Love

Caisa and Mayo have been together for 8 years and 6 months after finally deciding to tie the knot. They were blockmates in law school. Caisa is a lawyer while Mayo works in San Miguel Holdings Corp.

I’ll never forget this wedding! I have never seen Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus completely filled with friends and family. Their wedding reception was also a hit! It started with a 500 pcs mini parachute drop, and the whole ballroom was beautifully styled by Gideon.

How did Mayo propose? Let’s hear it from the bride…
“He proposed at the top of the Tokyo Skytree. He was in conspiracy with everyone even my cousins who live in Japan. I thought I was going to Japan to attend a conference for work. The surprise was somewhat smooth except that I saw him inside the plane! so I kind of knew what was going to happen.”

Kelly and Kenneth

Let's Try

Kelly used to be the supervisor of Kenneth in their past job. They are both CPA’s. After two years of countless dates, they finally decided to get married at Chapel on the Hill, followed by a reception at Narra Hill, Tagaytay.

Kenneth shares how he proposed to Kelly.

“I proposed during her 25th birthday. She had no idea that i was going to propose. All she knew was we are going to have our dinner in the place where we had our first date as boyfriend and girlfriend (shangrila mall). Me and our friends made a plan a week before her birthday. The plan was to make a surprise for her birthday so the idea of me proposing to her will be taken away from her. Before we got to the mall, she was pissed-off at me because we were stuck in traffic for 2 hours and she was blaming me because we did not get out early. During the time she was pissed-off and already having her out-of-this-world tantrums, i was quiet and smiling because i knew I was successful in taking away from her the idea that I am going to surprise her on her birthday. It’s an accomplishment for me because she’s very good in spoiling surprises.

After 2 hours of being stuck in traffic, I tried to lighten up her mood (since she already wanted to get out of the car and go home) by telling her that I booked a room in Shangri-la hotel and got a spa package for us.

In the hotel, as we opened the doors of our room, our friends shouted and greeted her a happy birthday. While I’m hugging her, I took the ring from my friend and kneeled. All the effort was worth it because I got a YES.”

Lorraine and Louie

42 days

Lorraine and Louie got married at San Sebastian. The same place where Louie proposed to Lorraine.

I remember sitting in a random table at Your Local for a dinner. I introduced myself to the guests during that dinner. I met Stephanie. She says, “Oh! you’re shooting my friend’s wedding! Lorraine!”. Honestly, my initial reaction was, “HMMM REALLY?! are you sure that’s us?! haha!” AND she said yes. Well, I meet a looot of people. I was actually nervous that night that I was sitting beside random people I don’t know so my mind wasn’t really working. AND, her wedding coordinator booked us! That’s why we never really met until the wedding day.
Turns out, yes, Steph’s right. It was Lorraine, my FYAM Bride.

Lorraine looked stunning with her Cary Santiago wedding gown! It was a crazy happy wedding filled with everyone they love. They were surprised to see that the church was packed with their friends and families.

Sharing a line from Louie’s vows: “I cannot see myself with anyone else, but you”

Oh how beautiful it is to fall in love!

Jill and Gabby

Serendipity

Jill and Gabby got married in St. Peter the Apostle, followed by a beautiful reception in Marriott.

It was serendipity for Jill and Gabby. They met at a religious retreat for the first time, and discovered that they were officemates in Nestle. They dated for 4 years before they finally tied the knot.

How did you propose?

It was a simple, intimate proposal in the restaurant where we had our first official date :) had a table reserved before closing time, and proposed to Jill on a regular weekday to avoid suspicion (operative word is avoid, Jill knew I was up to something right away when our usual “routine” on week days was abruptly altered). I had a simple speech prepared it was enough to warrant a sweet yes. She paused to cry and accepted my ring :)

Tina and Chuck

Written on the Body

A few weeks ago last December, during the festive season of Christmas time, we shot a very Rock and Roll wedding at Henry Hotel here in Manila.

It was Chuck and Tina’s wedding. After 8 years of being together, they finally decided to get married. I remember my boss being all excited that we’re shooting Chuck’s wedding. Well, Chuck is a Musician. He’s the Lead Guitarist of After Image, 6 Cycle Mind, and Stellar. Cool huh? but what’s cooler is he’s getting married to our beautiful FYAM Bride, Tina, who is a Physician.

Chuck recalls how he proposed. After band practice, they were settling home, and decided to pop the question. No grand gestures, nothing fancy, all heart.

Dyan and Colt

Love is a Weapon

They dated for 10 years before they decided to get married. Dyan and Colt met at a singing camp for Child Laborers 15 years ago. Colt was part of the youth group in their church where the singing camp was held, while Dyan was part of the choir, UP Cherubim and Seraphim, that led the singing camp.

I love their vows for each other. It was definitely the highlight of the SDE.
Let me share to you Dyan’s vows to Colt:

“Kung gano kita kamahal ngayon ay ganon kitang mamahalin habang buhay. Pinapangako kong tuwing papatak ang alasais y medya ng gabi ay may sasalubong sayo sa pag uwi mo ng trabaho ng isang may bahay na para bang sampung taon kang hindi nakita.”
